The limiting belief that causes the worst form of self-sabotage.
All of us have limiting beliefs. Some are clearly not self-honoring, while others are implicit forms of self-sabotage that are broadly accepted in society, much to our dismay.
If I don't do it, no one will.
We don't often slow down enough to look at the impact of unconsciously running a belief system like this one.
Healing is necessary for growth.
True healing does not involve changing the event, avoiding the perpetrator (though this could still be a necessary, albeit unrelated, step), or understanding what happened in the past better.
It involves becoming conscious of the belief about oneself that was birthed when the event happened, observing where it is still active in the present moment, and dismantling that belief.
